It’s been kind of crazy lately and I haven’t made a post in weeks! Here are some of the things I’ve been working on.
I promise it won’t be weeks until my next post!
I had fun session with one of the Billings Roller Derby Dames Sunday, here are a couple of the shots! Please check me out on Facebook too! http://facebook.com/timmazzaferrophoto
I love photographing dogs, it’s what got me back into photography about four years ago. Today I photographed 5 Greyhounds, all were rescue dogs. Whenever you have to photograph 5 of anything it can be a challenge, especially when it’s 5 dogs. The owners wanted individual b&w portraits to match photos they had of other dogs they had rescued. We started outside, but ended up inside quickly, the dogs wanted nothing to do with the record 91 degrees here in Billings! So we settled in the living room, I used a couple of flashes to add to the ambient light and here’s a few of the shots!
It was getting a little warm up on the hill today, so I decided to take a break and head down to the staging area. These were all shot as the riders were waiting for their turn at the hill.
Here are some more shots from yesterday’s photoshoot with the Billings Derby Dames.
I spent the better part of my Sunday photographing the Billings Roller Derby Dames, what a day! The girls needed some individual shots for their website and personal use, so we picked a great spot in old downtown Billings and went to work. I shot 20 individual portraits today in the hottest day of the year in Billings, I’m tired but I had a great time! Here are just a few of the portraits.
Lilly the puppy wasn’t my only studio shoot this weekend, I also shot my second ever maternity portrait. It was quite a change of pace shooting Lilly the puppy and then 30 minutes later, shooting the happy couple. I mixed in a few B&W photos with the color, I just really like B&W with these maternity shots.
This weekend I did a studio shoot with a 4 month old puppy named Lilly. There were a few challenges, first Lilly is pretty dark, so I used a new cloth background and borrowed Max’s bed (he wasn’t thrilled). Then there’s the fact Lilly is a 4 month old puppy that wanted to do anything but sit still. After a 30 minutes of shooting we called it quits and took Lilly outside where she chased Max around as he was fetching his tennis ball. We then brought Lilly back in and got most of the shots you see here.
This is Marshall! Believe it or not he is just 5 months old, he’s going to be a very big boy! Today was my first studio shoot with my new 5D mark II, it was easy to use and worked great tethered to my laptop. I did notice it takes a little longer for the image to show up on the computer because the files are about twice the size of my old 5D. Here are a few images from today’s shoot.
It’s been a busy weekend so far and it’s only half over! Here are some photos from one of the shoots I did yesterday. Megan wanted to have some fun fashion photos done, so we did our best to create some fun poses. The fun didn’t stop there for me though, I’m really enjoying playing around in Lightroom 3 and Photoshop CS5 to create some different looks. I working on different looks that will separate the photos I do from the normal things you see everyday. Two more shoots today!
Ready to shoot Billings!
